What Surfing Means To Me
We rarely get to switch off these days. We are constantly taking in information and making decisions.
Whether it’s checking our phones, navigating the crowds of people during the morning commute, staying on top of your work load, making time to be social and everything else in between.
Sometimes the amount of things going on around us can feel overwhelming. Even when you try to do something to relax your brain is still working away in the background… what about that email? Did I reply? What will they think?
Surfing for me isn’t just an activity it’s an opportunity to completely zone out. It’s just you, the board and a wave.
In that moment when you look over your shoulder and start paddling to catch a wave all your worries and anything else on your mind just disappears.

Even though surfing can be tiring I always feel refreshed after I’ve been in the water. Surfing gives you the ability to reset and feel in control.
For me HCSC is about spending time with people from all different backgrounds who are passionate about the natural environment and all come together to catch that worry free wave.
