Chiltern Toy Bank Christmas Deliveries

The current ‘cost of living crisis has unfortunately put more and more vulnerable children and families as risk with the reliance on donations. As a small community ourselves we wanted to support the brilliant work that the Chiltern Toy Bank do, and in November & December 2022 a few of our crew helped with the delivery of Christmas toys to local families across Buckinghamshire.

Now more than ever it’s important for communities to come together given the challenges we are all facing. As a club we are committed to playing a small key part in supporting as many families and children as we can across the local communities. We will definitely be back again later this year and look forward to supporting the inspiring work that the Chiltern Toy Bank do.

About Chiltern Toy Bank
The Chiltern Toy Bank has been working in the Chesham and Amersham area for over 7 years. We collect unwanted toys, or generously donated new toys and redistribute them to families who need extra support at Christmas time. The incredible donations we receive from local organisations and individuals help families make Christmas a little more special for their children.

As a Charity we rely heavily on volunteers who give up their time around Christmas to become our Toy Bank Elves, helping collect, clean, sort, pick, pack and deliver gifts to families in time for Christmas.

We are supported by other incredible organisations and receive some funding through local and Government schemes. This allows us to run our warehouse, buy those extra touches for stocking fillers and provide families with wrapping paper, sellotape and batteries, so Christmas is no longer a stressful day, but a time to enjoy!
