Supporting Men’s Mental Health with Team Active
This year we decided to partner with with Team Active in supporting men’s mental health be being active across the month of June.
A team of 5 from from HCSC including Simon, Fergal, Craig, Nigel and James wil be supporting the Million for Men's Health Week.
1 in 5 men die prematurely from preventable causes. Suicide remains the leading cause of death in men under 50. Yet many workplace wellbeing strategies still fail to engage men in a way that actually works. The Million for Men's Health Challenge. A simple, inclusive team-based activity challenge designed to get your workforce moving, connecting, and engaging in their health - without the usual barriers.
From 11 June to 19 July, teams of five colleagues represent a nation and log their minutes of movement during Men's Health Week and the FIFA World Cup. Walk, run, swim or train – every active minute counts. Teams are open to everyone – men and women are very welcome.
This June and July, teams of five colleagues will represent countries from around the world as they compete to help achieve a shared target of One Million Minutes of Movement for Men's Health.
Every walk, run, cycle, swim, gym session and kickabout counts.
Taking place during Men's Health Week and the FIFA World Cup, the challenge brings together colleagues from across the UK in a global race to one million minutes.
Wish us luck and let’s support Active Teams with this brilliant initiative.
